Carer Gateway campaign
Campaign materials
The Carer Gateway national advertising campaign aims to increase awareness of Carer Gateway services and supports, and encourage unpaid carers to access support through the phone line and website. Carer Gateway is a free support program for Australia’s 2.65 million unpaid carers, many of whom do not know that dedicated support is available to help them in their caring role.
The Carer Gateway campaign materials on this page are available to share with friends, family and your stakeholder networks.

Do you take care of and support someone close to you?
1 in 9 people in Australia are unpaid carers.
But many people don’t see themselves as carers.
They’re just supporting someone close to them.
Every caring situation is different.
A carer can be of any age and caring for anyone.
They look after someone with disability, a medical condition, a mental health condition or who is frail due to age and help them in many different ways.
They may help them for a few hours a week or 24 hours a day.
If this sounds familiar, you may be an unpaid carer.
Carer Gateway was designed by carers for carers.
We provide a range of free support and local services to give carers the help they need.
Carer Gateway is here to support you.
Looking after someone can be tough. It’s OK to ask for support.
Carers often find that they worry about the future, don’t have enough time for themselves or their social life or have a hard time coping with their responsibilities.
But many carers don’t ask for help or wait until there’s an emergency.
It’s never too early or too late to get help and make changes that will support your health and wellbeing.
We can help you get the support you need.
Carer Gateway was designed by carers for carers.
We put the care and wellbeing of carers first.
Carer Gateway has free support packages and we can help you understand what support is available and right for you.

Do you know an unpaid carer?
A carer looks after somebody who lives with disability, a medical condition, has a mental health condition, or is frail due to age.
Every caring situation is different, and anyone can be a carer.
A carer can be a friend or family member.
A carer can be young or old.
You can support the carer in your life by reminding them that it’s okay to get help.
We know unpaid carers do best when they have help and support.
If they aren’t ready to talk, that’s okay.
There are many reasons carers might not always tell you if they need support.
But, help is at hand.
At Carer Gateway, we have a range of services and support for carers across Australia.
We are here to help you.
